Avebury henge

Avebury henge is composed of different stone circles, mounds, and two great main avenues. In the 14th century, many of the original stones were removed or destroyed, due to Christian intolerance towards pagan religions and rituals, then to provide space for agricultural needs and finally some stones were used as building material.
