SS Yongala

The SS Yongala was a famous ship at the beginning of the 1900s which sank into the abyss of the ocean, counting as one of the most tragic incidents in Australian maritime history. Nowadays its wreck is renowned as an international diving site and a much appreciated touristic destination.

Pacitan

Some people recognize it as the birthplace of Indonesia’s first directly elected President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Pacitan is not considered so much of a tourist spot. Most travelers usually head to more well-known destinations such as Bali or Surabaya. For most people, Pacitan is a place unheard of.

Seattle Underground

In 1965 the buried ruins of the oldest part of Seattle was opened for visit. The idea originated from Bill Speidel’s wife. She thought the publicist could get what once was the Pioneer Square restored. Starting with 1954 the struggles to uncover the 25 blocks which were seriously damaged in a fire had many supporters that joined forces.

Paris Catacombs

Most Parisians have never visited this place. A city known for its popular streets, extravagant cathedrals, museums and the Eiffel Tower, a lot of visitors tend to overlook this unique tourist attraction. For one, it is located beneath Paris’ surface. Second, the place is actually mass tomb.

Point Reyes

If you have seen John Carpenter’s movie “The Fog” and you got the chills with the location where the mystery is always present, you should know that the movie was shot at the famous Californian Lighthouse at Point Reyes. This location is not only ideal to give you the goose bumps but it has a historical importance and a definite appeal when it comes to natural beauty.

A site well known ever since the 1930s when the British Empire made its last attempt of colonial expansion, the Phoenix Islands are much appreciated spots of land especially because of the beauty of the corals and the abundant marine life surrounding them.

Saint Tropez

This city was made internationally popular by French actress and fashion model Bridget Bardot in her 1956 movie “And God Created Woman.” Since then, this unassuming fishing village of tantalizing turquoise sea became known as a playground for the rich and elite people.
