Heaven Lake

With a very suggestive name, the Asian lake formed in a caldera is a natural hotspot you don't have to die to go to but may be a destination to die for. Believed to be the home to the Lake Tianchi Monster, a mythological creature associated to the famous Scottish Loch Ness, this Asian attraction was made popular when a video of the mysterious creatures appeared in 2007.

Tanah Lot Temple

Part of the Balinese mythology for centuries, the Tanah Lot is one of the seven religious edifices built along the South West Coast. Placed on a rock formation, surrounded by waves and believed to worship the sea power, this Indonesian temple transformed easily into a popular pilgrimage site and a photographer's seventh heaven.
