Castres

Derived from the Latin word ''castrum'' translated as ''fortified place'', the French destination where socialist leader Jean Jaures was born is one stop on the map for the ones interested in history, art or religion. Historically, Castres gained fame after Henry IV of France was one of the inhabitants or during the unfortunate times of the Black Plague.

Nancy

Belogradchik Rocks

Declared a Natural Landmark by the Bulgarian government in 1987, the Belogradchick Rocks are a complex of bizzarely shaped giants which become animated by local legends. Formations like Adam and Eve, the Mushrooms, the Madonna or the goddess Bedida may not seem as stiff once you hear their tale even though geology declares them a result of natural erosion.

St-Malo

The appeal of St. Malo does not resume to the fact that it is considered Brittany's most visited place. Guided by the motto ''not French, not Brenton, but Malouins'', this French destination and its medieval walls is the former home of the corsairs and an area famous for wanting to preserve its autonomy as well as its old Brenton language.

Lizard Island

The sacred land of the Dingaal people known as Dyiigurra has changed its name in 1770 when Captain Cook baptized it in association to its abundant wildlife. Lizard Island is nowadays a hotspot in proximity to the Great Barrier Reef, a territory blessed with incredible scientific opportunities and the third most appreciated luxury lodge in the Australian List for 2011.

Ajaccio

Napoleon Bonaparte was a famous military genius, a political leader, an emperor of France and a world renown cultural icon. A primary symbol in the country of the Eiffel Tower, Napoleon was born in the city Ajaccio. Carrying a Latin name with an unknown meaning, Ajaccio exposes Genoese influence in its buildings and oral tradition.
