Santorini

What comes out of an enormous volcanic explosion is a flooded crescent caldera and a semicircular island.  This is Santorini, also known as Thira. It is a volcanic island found in the Cyclades islands in the middle of Greece and is known to be one of the world’s most romantic island.

Having the best sunsets in the world, it is no surprise that Santorini is a hot spot for wedding and honeymoon get away. It’s thousand years of history and memory splashes colors of red, blue, and almost gold strikes. The Akrotiri excavation displays one of the first settlers of the Aegean and the earliest art forms were recovered from Ancient Thira.

Eating is a way of life of the Greeks so restaurants in Santorini are not just a place to have a bite but a venue for entertainment. Grilled meat and seafood are common favorites.
